The sugar division currently employs 408 permanent staff with 166 personnel in Ghatnandra and 242 in Kasoda.
The Ghatnandra plant being a highly modern and automated plant requires lesser employees as compared to traditional sugar
factories. During the sugarcane crushing season, the company hires need based unskilled/semi skilled labor depending
on the factory requirements.
Key Personal
GIACL has highly skilled and experienced management in place for both its Sugar units. Brief profiles of key personnel are mentioned below:
Mr. A L More, 50 years, is the General Manager of Sugar division and manages both the sugar units. He has around 27 years of experience in the Sugar Industry. His all round experience in management, operations and agri field work has helped GIACL manage its operations well. He joined GIACL in June 2000 and worked as Agri Manager before taking up the responsibilities of General Manager in November, 2006. He made several contributions such as improving relationships with farmers, streamlining the sugar cane supply process as the Agri Manager. He is a qualified Science Graduate in agriculture.
Mr. B A Fatangare,48 years, is the Chief Engineer at Ghatnandra unit. He has around 26 years of experience in Sugar Industry itself. He joined GIACL in January, 2004 and has been handling all the engineering responsibilities in the company. He is a qualified Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. R P Walunj, 50 years, is the Production Manager at Ghatnandra unit. He has made significant contribution in stabilizing and improving the operations of the Sugar Plant. He has worked in Sugar Industry at various levels for the last 26 years and has been with the organization for the last 5 years. He is qualified science graduate and has taken courses in Sugar Technology.
Shri C.G. Padalkar (55 yrs), Accounts Manager of the Company, has a career spanning over 32 years of contribution in the fields of Accounts & financial management, general management and has strategic management and business leadership. He holds Master degree in Commerce. He joined the company in January, 1976 as accountant and was elevated as the Accounts Manager of our Company with effect from 1991.
Mr. V S Khedekar,41 years, is the accounts manager at Ghatnandra unit. He has around 19 years of experience in Sugar industry and has been working with GIACL for the last 5 years. Mr. Khedekar is the backbone of account management at GIACL. He has been instrumental in setting up the team at Kasoda unit, training personnel and helping the Managing Director on new initiatives. He holds masters degree in commerce.
